Weres, shifters, and vampires, oh my!

Weres, shifters, and vampires, oh my! Supernatural creatures are a favorite of paranormal fiction and mythology in general, and I've often been asked--and have been posed this question as part of the Blogathon--as to which sort I would be were I to be able to choose.

I like the immortality of the vampire, but as someone who has been vegan for a lengthy period of time, I am not certain how I would feel about having to drink nothing but blood for the rest of my life. If like the characters in my Dark Moon series I could ingest food and wine with a bit of magick, I might consider it--but I'd stay vegan when I did. Although one wonders if I would remain truly vegan if I were living off the blood of others while continuing to enjoy my dessert made out of chocolate and silken tofu....

Then there are the weres and shifters. I think I prefer the shifters over the weres. The idea of changing into a wolf or some other animal without my control during full moons doesn't sound all that appealing to me, but I like the idea of being able to change my form--provided the process wasn't painful!

I think I'd like to be a dragon shifter, and I give full credit to Yasmine Galenorn for giving me a dragon shifter fetish. Smokey the dragon in her Sisters of the Otherworld series is one hot, steaming dragon-man. Wooooow! Camille is one lucky, lucky gal!!
