The Longest Night - holiday short within the Dark Moon series
by Adrianne Brennan
Winter Solstice marks the longest night of the year, a time for honoring many different holiday traditions. For vampires, observing the day when the sun shines the least is a sacred event.
Merideth's girlfriend Erin has invited her to honor this occasion at her apartment. Sneaking away from her duties at Clan Gladius, Merideth finds a warm and passionate embrace awaiting her to distract her from her woes. But with so much on their minds, how will Erin and Merideth spend their longest night together?
Excerpt:
It didn't take long for the two women to divest themselves of their clothing, and a dazed Merideth found both herself and Erin on the floor, their garments lying beneath them.

She caressed Erin's pale flesh and savored the sensation of skin upon skin. Erin's skin was almost as fair as her own, she realized as her fingertips trailed lightly over her stomach.

Erin groaned. "Oh, I've missed you so much, Meri."

Meri. That was Kalia's nickname for her too. She blinked away the thought. Merideth missed Kalia, but she also adored this dark-and-fair woman lying underneath her, her skin warm and inviting to the touch.

The sharp sensation of teeth scraping her nipple interrupted Merideth's thoughts. She cried aloud.

Blood, I want her so bad.

"Just think," Erin murmured, her mouth muffled by Merideth's breast, "we have a nice, long night ahead of us."

A Memory on Record - holiday short within the Dark Moon series
by Adrianne Brennan
Winter Solstice marks the longest night of the year, a time for honoring many different holiday traditions. For vampires, observing the day when the sun shines the least is a sacred event.

Finding Jesse, Amanda's lover and Sire, the right gift for the Winter Solstice brings her great frustration this holiday season. A treasured memory provides the ideal solution to her predicament. Despite all that has changed in her life, can she uncover a way to show him how much she cares?
    Excerpt:
"You're crazy," Jesse whispered in between trailing fevered kisses down Amanda's neck. "I hope we don't get caught."

"In Central Park past midnight?" Feeling bold due to wine and holiday spirits, she reached for the bulge in his pants. With a gentle hand she massaged his swollen member. Wow, he's rock hard.

He uttered a low groan, his lips pressed against her neck, and Amanda smiled. They lay tucked away in trees and frozen bushes with snow falling around them, and she was doing her best to tempt him into having hot sex in the great outdoors.

Every Winter Solstice should be celebrated like this.
